THE MRS, A NON-DISCRIMINATORY RECRUITMENT METHOD
By the end of 2008, PAUL had signed a total of six regional agreements with the Pôle Emploi (national employment service) in the recruitment and employment fields. They also signed up for the introduction of the Simulation-based Recruitment Method. The SRM is a non-discriminatory employment method which selects applicants based on their capacity and aptitude. Once selected, tutors are appointed to them to maximise and facilitate their integration within the company. The success of these agreements will lead to the signature of a national agreement in 2009.

PAUL SIGNS THE INNER-CITY EMPLOYMENT PLAN
By signing the government's Inner-City Employment Plan with Christine Lagarde (French Minister for Economy), PAUL is encouraging employment and professional integration for young people from sensitive urbanareas. With more than 300 contracts signed by late 2008, PAUL has surpassed its target of 150 recruitments a year over three years. This agreement is fully in keeping with those already concluded in the fields of diversity and the fight against discrimination of all kinds.

PAUL SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Less salt, less fat and more vegetables… PAUL has signed a Charter with the Ministry of Health which includes 7 voluntary commitments to improve the nutrition offered by all of its products as part of the National Health Nutrition Programme. In doing so, Paul has become the first bakery and restaurant chain to obtain this acknowledgement, alongside companies such as Danone, Unilever, Leclerc or Casino.

PAUL CREATES THE “MY LITTLE BAKER” KIT FOR ACF
For the third year running, Paul has once again repeated its support forAction contre la Faim with a symbolic partnership based on breadmaking. The "My Little Baker" kit enables youngsters to make a loaf all by themselves, just like real little bakers, and to donate 5 Euros for each kit purchased. In December,PAUL paid €24.936 to the NGO

PAUL FINDS A NEW USE FOR UNSOLD STOCK
PAUL has launched a partnership with the Secours Populaire organisation in the Limoges area, under the terms of which it no longer throws away its unsold stock, but instead behaves as one would expect of a responsible company, giving unwanted products a new lease of life. Unsold stock will no longer be wasted! Instead of being thrown away, unsold stock left over at the end of the day, which is in perfect condition and meeting Paul's quality requirements, will instead be used for the benefit of theassociation, who collect it each evening.

BUSINESS LEASING: AN EXCITING SUCCESS STORY
PAUL is continuing with its "intra-prising" experiments. By expanding the use of business leasing with its network, PAUL encourages its very best staff to attempt the great adventure for themselves. Launched in 2007, this idea has now been tested for all types of stores including those in town centres, shopping centres, tourist sales outlets or local shops.

PAUL GOES FURTHER STILL WITH ELIOR
PAUL and Elior have extended their partnership for 10 years, and initiated new projects on the concession sites. In addition to sales outlets in railway stations, motorways and airports, PAUL is set to support Elior's other businesses, and should soon be arriving in retirement homes, hospitals and university campuses.

PAUL KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES!
PAUL has boosted its international growth by opening more shops abroad during 2008 than in France! Two new East European countries have now joined the PAUL hall of fame, with the opening of a shop in Prague (Czech Republic) and two in Bucharest (Romania).
